How Echinoderms Eat
All echinoderms are heteotrophs, but half are herbivores, half carnivores and they have several ways of eating. For a starfish to eat they use their tube feet to open or suck prey. If eating a clam they flips their stomach out of its mouth while pouring enzymes and digests prey. Other echinoderms are herbivores like a sea urchin who eat algae off of rocks. Their are a lot of ways echinoderms get their food, but these are the most common ways.
